job, a sick loved one, or the ending of a relationship. It is the rare person, indeed, who escapes this modern ill.

There are areas of our life that we can reinforce to help mitigate the effects of anxiety.

Develop a purpose driven Life

“Most of live our lives by accident-we live as it happens. Fulfillment comes when we live our lives on purpose.”

Having some concrete goals to direct our lives gives us a direction and purpose for living, this in itself, helps to relieve anxiety. Develop a strong “why” to keep you in the right direction. If you know your why, and it is invested┬áin your mind, you have the direction in life that you need. “If you don’t know your why, you can’t know how.”
“Life punishes the vague wish and rewards the specific ask.” As has been said many times in the past, a definitenss of purpose is the major ingredient to success in all facets of life.

Dig deep into yourself and find out what it is you want out of life. “The disease of our times is that we live on the surface. We’re like the Platte River, a mile wide and an inch deep.” Self-knowledge and direction will go a long way to eliminating daily anxiety.

Focus on Gratitude

The simple greatest thing we can do each day is to be grateful. This doesn’t mean all is well in your world, that there are not things that need to get better. “Focus on the Good, how gratitude can change our life. Living with gratitude means choosing to focus your time and attention on what you appreciate.”┬áIt connects us with the wonderful ordinary things, great and small, that we might otherwise take for granted. This is an anxiety lessening experience.

Some simple gratitude tips

  1. Say Thank you, who doesn’t want to be appreciated
  2. When you are feeling low, take a moment and write down some things that spark gratitude in you, like the pleasure of the sun; a stirring piece of music; a delicious meal; a stranger’s smile
  3. Describe in as much detail as possible how your body feels when you express gratitude.

There is always some small thing for which we can be grateful.

“Gratitude isn’t just in our head; it takes root in our heart and in our senses, for one beautiful moment…and then another.

Mindfulness and Yoga

“Practices like meditation and yoga can make designers better designers, creators better creators, and content writers better content writers.” It is also a great way to connect to your inner self and difuse any onset of anxiety.
